Vitamed, part of the Rekah Pharmaceutical Industries Group, became a partner in the Ora Cream brand. Ora Cream is now produced at the Vitamed pharmaceutical plant in Binyamina and can be purchased from all pharmacies, drugstore chains, health funds, and baby stores around Israel.
As demand for Ora Cream outpaced small-scale production, it found a new home at Rafa Laboratories. Over the next 20+ years, Ora Cream continued to win new admirers. Generations of children who had been treated with Ora Cream as infants became parents themselves and chose it to care for their own babies.
Working tirelessly, Mariana personally contacted pharmacies all over Israel and convinced them to sell Ora Cream for a trial period. It was not long before that trial period became permanent, as demand grew and positive responses from parents led to ever-increasing orders. Everyone who tried Ora Cream became its most fervent advocate.
Management of the pharmacy passed to Ms. Mariana Yardeni, a nurse-midwife by profession. Mariana brought in a new team of pharmacists to expand the production of Ora Cream to meet the ceaseless demand both inside and outside Jerusalem.
Ora Pharmacy began to produce Ora Cream in its own tiny laboratory and the cream quickly became a huge success with Jerusalem mothers. Word spread, the cream’s reputation grew, and customers flooded in from all over the country.
The construction of a new central Jerusalem building was completed and the Ora Pharmacy opened its doors. Ms. Toni Mar-Haim, a pharmacist who had graduated with honors from the University of Vienna, came to Israel with the unique diaper rash formula that would soon become known as “Ora Cream.”
